I just got a call all the person said was that there is a legal claim against me and that I must call them. The guy didnt say his name or what company they are from but gave a number to call back, 205-383-3353.

I received a call from a Madison Whitehall for the law officeof Smith and Rosenberg saying that it was in reference to my social security number which sounded suspicious right off the jump. Then she tells me that I owe money to Cash Net USA, a pay day loan company and that I will be taken to court. It made me mad becasue she knew the last 4 digits of my social security number. I am reporting their number the FCC and I advise anyone else to do the same to shut these people down....(205) 383-3353

Called from 205-383-3353. Said they were investigating a fraud matter with my social security number, and to call back to extension 1003. Smith and Rosenberg are in Seattle with a 206 area code. I believe this to be a scam.

I received a call from this number Richard Porter is the name that he left saying that he was from Smith Rosenberg Law Group calling in regards to article 805-11 wants me to call this number back extension 1027 I looked up Smith Rosenberg Law Group which is located in Seattle I called them was advised that they are doing everything in their power to stop this. Also was advised not to call them back nor to give out any of my information. Please do not give them any of your information. They left a message saying that they was going to sent information to my job. But when I looked up this number I found out that it is a mobile number located in Birmingham, AL Jefferson County but on my caller id it came up as SP Legal Group

I got a call about a week ago and decided to do some research. Im glad I did just that. I was,threatened about going to jail, being fired, and my driving privileges being revoked.

Hi all . Took a payday loan out 2008 that later went to collections which by the way is impossible go find out who has it since they just keep selling it off and is not on credit report . Anyhow was contacted by this number telling me the people that had contacted me for payments on this loan was fraud that If I didnt set up payments with them I would have legal action against me . I switched my card etc and told them to prove I owe them but so far only have gotten a chezzy letter and no prof but they keep contacting my family and me . Have you found any info to help me with this . I found sites like this with everyone saying same but do we have any prof ? I just reported this to attorney general in my area but it can take up to 4 weeks to hear back and Im lost and worried and stressed over this and the fact that they have personal info on me and that Ive had no luck finding what collection agency now has my paper work for this old loan .

This is FRAUD, do not give ANY information or money. I spoke with the actual attorney at Smith Rosenberg, and they advised these people are falsely using their name. You can contact the actual Smith Rosenberg to verify: 206-407-3097. Also, if you would like to contact Inspector Sims directly, he left me his call back number which works, I got him directly, and he hung up on me once he found out I knew it was fraud.
